New York Triples the Production of Solar Energy through the installation of panels in city-owned ten buildings
Taking advantage of renewable resources, installation of solar panels, photovoltaic systems, green roofs etc. New York is also following the green route.

New York has three times the capacity of Solar energy
The city has completed the installation of solar panels in ten buildings and gone beyond the limits to increase its production of solar energy to help now to several homes in the city. These panels are installed in many buildings, including schools and firehouses.
The city is thus paving the way for a cleaner tomorrow, through the installation of solar photovoltaic systems, which are an efficient approach using the city's resources to promote and support the maximum use of renewable energy sources in the region.
In addition to this, it will also ensure a supply of clean, consistent power and a reasonable price. Bloomberg, Mayor of the city is also trying to be respectful in his own personal life through the installation of a green roof at home and paint the white roof to reduce global warming, which will be beneficial for him, as well as for the environment of the city into a place better for residents.

Production of Fuels From Waste
The creation of renewable energy, seen the way the oil and natural gas, is an issue that becomes increasingly more important. The creation of fuels from waste, to be an always-available input fits within these, more and more necessary, renewable energy.
For the production of this type of fuel is recommended the use of raw materials that are low-cost. You must ensure a good profitability and be in line with the projects of improvement of the environment. With all surplus world foodstuffs only could occur bioethanol to replace 1% of oil consumption, which would be unsustainable, so continue research to find materials for the production of biofuels derived also from other products, such as algae.
If we think that the world's population will have grown about 7 million people by 2050, the demand for energy and water increase significantly also, so it is of utmost importance the creation of ecological alternatives. Within these alternatives we find the biofuel, which is a liquid or gaseous fuel obtained from biomass. Multitude of raw materials such as forest residues, waste from food industries, tires out of use, etc. are used to create synthetic diesel or biodiesel , and it would replace conventional diesel. It is ethanol, which is created from organic waste, and to replace the gasoline.
The organic waste that exists anywhere in the world and whose existence has been a growing problem, is being used in our country for the production of ethanol by the urban solid waste organic fraction, FORSU, formed by paper, vegetables, food and wood.
The process by which takes this place consists of several phases:
The FORSU physico pretreatment aims to break or despolimerizar cellulose chains to facilitate the access to the enzymes against.Saccharification and fermentation simultaneous: mixing with enzymes and yeasts.Distillation: from the alcoholic mixture Gets a first concentrated ethanol in water.Dehydration: Gets the ethanol with a purity of almost 100% that is suitable for use in automotive engines.
The results are 160 liters of ethanol per ton of raw material.
In any case, the feasibility of fuel depends on that their prices will prove profitable in relation to oil. In addition, according to some studies, biofuels could dismiss nine times more carbon dioxide than fossil fuels, so that we must cautiously this new type of renewable energy.

China leads the production of alternative energy
This statistic was released recently in World energy 2010 Congress. China, the Asian giant is the leader world in the renewable, in absolute terms, i.e. in quantity of energy production. Various alternative methods of production of electricity have had a very important boost in recent years and are expected to keep this rise by at least ten years.
In the last decade renewable energy took an important impetus as spoke Liu Zhenya, Executive of the largest energy company in the country. The data supplied are highly positive: the production of wind energy has increased exponentially 21 times;and the generation of solar energy multiplied 47 times.
According to forecasts that handle, in ten years, China will have a significant growth of renewable energy, with an estimated production capacity of:
300 gigawatios through hydropower (75 per cent of large generators)
by 90,17 gigawatios wind energy
But these figures do not confuse us, China is a real monster in energy consumption, and these enormous amounts of renewable energy are actually a very small part of total production.Forecasts for 2020 indicate that:
only 2% consists of alternative energy (wind and solar), 9% hydroelectric, 58.5 per cent from coal, 26.5% of oil and natural gas, 4% of nuclear energy.Anyway, thanks to increasing investments in alternative energy production there will be a significant reduction in the quantities produced of gases with greenhouse of the country.Carbon emissions will be reduced by 1.6 billion pounds per year.
